Matt Carr, owner of Carr Industries, is well-known as the former Plant Manager of the Country Coach cabinet shop. May 15th 1987 Matt began his career at Country Coach as a cabinet maker. He quickly progressed through the various aspects of this department, becoming an expert in the field: from the concept and design phase to manufacturing and installing and when necessary repairing everything from cabinets to countertops to raised panel doors to soffits and snack tray knobs. Matt has built or helped build or design in one form or fashion, the cabinetry for every floorplan for every model of Country Coach from the Class C’s, to the Diesel pushers and the Bus Conversions. In the early years it was all hands on and Matt eventually worked his way through the management ranks to becoming the Plant Manager of the Cabinet division in 1993. As a plant manager his role changed from hands on to concentration on scheduling and quality control, floor plan design, and employee management, and working directly with customers to craft the cabinetry for their dream coaches. Factory rallies, especially Factory tours and the many livability seminars Matt participated in are among Matt’s fondest memories of Country Coach days, of course all of the wonderful customers. After 23 years at Country Coach Matt left to pursue his own interests. Today, clients of Carr Industries quickly recognize those same well developed practices, old world craftsmanship, and Quality Control processes in all aspects of woodworking which set Country Coach cabinetry apart in the industry. From the livability seminars where you said, “Hey this would be great if I had more storage here” or “I am a full timer and I utilize every square inch of space,” Matt listened and still listens, to implement coach owners’ wishes into his designs. Today Carr Industries specializes in all motorhomes from Class C's to Diesel pushers and all manufactures.
